Not Again! That's what the headlines read today after police shot 18 year old
Khiel Coppin this past Monday night. First I would like to share the 911 Transcript with you all to make your own assumptions.

911 operator: "Police operator 1-2-3-9. Where is the emergency?"

Female caller: "Yes."
911 operator: "Between where?"

Together: "Between Marcus Garvey and Throop."
911 operator: "What happened there?"
Background male voice: "I've got a (expletive) gun!"
Female caller: "This ... you know ... this kid is a problem. You can even hear him?"
Background male voice: "Take that, (expletive). I've got a gun."
911 operator: "Who is that?"
Female caller: "That's supposed to be my son!"
Background male voice: "I've got a (expletive) gun!"
911 operator: "That's your son?"
Female caller: "Got no respect. You know ... I can't deal with this tonight."
Background male voice: "I gotta gun."
911 operator: "He, he say he gotta gun?"
Female caller: "Um, huh ... You, you heard him. I didn't say. You heard it outta his mouth."
911 operator: "He um ... didn't injure you, right?"
Female caller: "But he kept on tonight with this situation here. I'm not sleeping here with this behavior."
Background male voice: "(Expletive) police!"
911 operator: "Alright ... what apartment you in?"
Female caller: "It's 1D, but you can ring the neighbor's apartment."
911 operator: "On the first floor?"
Female caller: "Yeah."
911 operator: "Ring bell (neighbor's apartment.)"
Female caller: "Um, huh."
911 operator: "To get in?"
Female caller: "Yeah."
911 operator: "Ok. Give me the name and number there."
Female caller: "It's (neighbor's name and number)."
911 operator: "Alright. I'm gonna let them know ... 590 Gates ... Apartment 1D, on the first floor."
Female caller: "Ring bell (neighbor's apartment) to get in."
911 operator: "They'll be there as soon as possible."
Female caller: "Thank you."Sounds to me like the kid was a little off indeed. How much was the parent willing to help the poor boy though, " that's suppose to be my son" "I can't sleep here, I'm not dealing with this tonight"??? OK sound more to me that the mother was a little negligent towards her sons' problem, apparently he was not taking his
meds and refused to be hospitalized. Having
givin up on her son she had asked him to leave a couple of times before calling the police. With a history of armed robbery and assault dating dating to the age of 15. So I have to admit I still believe the mother is at fault since she could have had this under control before he turned 18 and had any say in his life.
Now seriously though, as far as the cops go for shooting this young man, threats were clearly made over the phone, needless to say they had to approach with caution. So for these "protesters" making their assumptions and right away ready to riot and march on behalf of the victim, they need to sit back and listen to the facts as they unfold. The proof is in the facts, which haven't all been released. He had locked himself in his room opening the door to reveal that he did
in fact have 2 knives, then when he fled the house and was running and non responsive to the police he made a fatal move of reaching behind his sweat shirt in a manner that was believed to have been reaching for a gun (hair brush) What kind of police procedure needs to be taken in a situation like this? What if the kid did have a gun and shot a cop? Then what, back to square one again, because they would have killed him anyway and protesters would still be crying because the boy was mental. Its a no win situation with these activist's, like the "Peoples Committee" and the people who head these organizations like Calvin Hunt, maybe they need to be shot for instigating these incidents. If they weren't out there pumping up the community with their bullshit and nonsense this shit wouldn't happen. The fact is the mother brought this on herself and clearly got what she wanted. The freedom from this troubled youth that she couldn't handle anymore. No body wants to see it that way right? So she cries for a few days, goes to court with the activists, she wins the trial against the precinct, she bank rolls a lot of money, forgets about the "problem" she had and moves on in life stress free to have more children she can't handle, and she becomes the hero. If the boy was taken care of and medicated in the proper manor none of this would have happened. The mother did have a second conversation with a police
operator telling them he did not have a gun. That being the case should have subdued him in another way. I believe this lady was just fed up, she wanted out, out of being the mother and the caretaker of this mentally depressed young man. Referring back to the 911 call "this kid is a problem" who speaks of their mental son in this manner. Maybe if his mother wasn't a crack smoking junkie who sucked and fucked for the rock, she wouldn't have gotten pregnant 18 years ago to a bastard child with mental issues because his mother couldn't get off the glass dick.
LOOKY LOOKY, NO TEARS!!!Maybe they can enforce better police procedures, like blowing knee caps away instead of 5 cops shooting 20 shots and pumping 8 into an 18 year old kids body killing him to find out he was holding his
afro pick. I know this isn't a funny matter but seriously five cops couldn't subdue and 18 year old? Are we not training them better than that? Like I said blow out a knee cap Shoot for the arms, they do go to the firing range.... As I have revised this since the first release earlier today we learned that the young man was shot in the chest, the arms, and several times in the legs, by 5 different cops. Having shot a gun before these cops got a little "trigger happy" I'm sure the boy wasn't still standing after the first shot hit him, why keep shooting? I
have mixed feelings about this case. Obviously the mother is at fault for not taking better responsibility. On the other hand I think our boys in blue need to reevaluate their methods of
subduing their suspects.
